Some people have amazing imaginations and use their considerable talent to turn ideas into eye catching and fascinating works of art.

I have been amazed at some of the creativity shown by those who have made interesting mailboxes from metal (see the ‘Amazing Mailbox Quest’ at the top of this page for examples), but recently I came across something similar, yet at the same time, quite different.

The place was Millau (France) and I was riding around the city when I came across these two life sized musical ants!

One ‘strummed’ a guitar, while his partner created silent notes from a violin. They were beautifully made and were decorating the sidewalk near a bar/restaurant.

Unfortunately, I was not able to return later for a meal, but I think the ants would have made an interesting dinner topic!

Harmonious ants!

What do you think? Would these works of insect art have been enough to entice you to stop and take a closer look, or to stay for a meal?
